How to get to Kangaroo Beach Lodges | Eagles Nest Lodge and Seaview Beach House from the mainland. Kangaroo Island is easily reached from Adelaide by ferry or plane. (Recommended to book first)

By Ferry - Sealink (Car and passenger ferry)

⟩ Drive approximately 1.5 to 2 hours from Adelaide to Cape Jervis (Mainland), then take a 45-minute ferry to Penneshaw.

⟩ Vehicle and passenger ferries operate daily.

⟩ It’s strongly recommended to book your ferry and vehicle slot in advance, especially during peak times.

⟩ Arrive at least 30 minutes before your ferry time for check-in and boarding. The ferries have onboard amenities café, seating and some Wi-Fi connectivity.

By Plane - Qantas

⟩ Fly from Adelaide Airport (ADL) to Kingscote Airport (KGC) on Kangaroo Island.

⟩ Flight duration is approximately 35 minutes.

⟩ If arriving by air, you’ll need transport from Kingscote Airport to your accommodation — usually via car hire or transfers.

⟩ Public transport on the island is very limited.

Getting to Your Stay

From Penneshaw or Kingscote, allow approximately 1.5 hours drive to reach our properties. To find your way, simply enter the full address into Google Maps, ensuring an easy, direct route to your destination

PLEASE NOTE: The final 25kms is unsealed road, adding to the remote and private nature of your stay. Please drive with care, especially at dawn and dusk, as kangaroos and wallabies frequently cross the road.

Fuel & Supplies

Fuel is available at Penneshaw, Kingscote and Parndana (Limited). We recommend filling your tank before leaving these towns, as fuel stations are around 45 minutes away from the accommodation.

Supermarkets and Cafes

There are no immediate cafes, restaurants or shops nearby. The closest supermarkets:

⟩ Parndana has a small Bakery Cafe (45-minute drive)

⟩ Kingscote has a fantastic Drakes Supermarket (1.5 hours’ drive)

⟩ Penneshaw has a well-stocked IGA (1.5 hours’ drive)

Exclusive Access and Arrival: Please note that our accommodation is situated on private land, ensuring a truly tranquil and exclusive experience. Upon arrival, you will meet the property caretaker at the homestead before being escorted to the lodge, allowing you to settle in and begin your luxury retreat seamlessly.
